WTFriday’s: New and Up n’ Comeher’s Spotlight Series
Tamara Blue is completely vulnerable on stage. Willingly sharing every part of her life, nothing is off limits. She has facilitated poetry workshops to at-risk youth in Los Angeles for seven years. She featured on the 5th season of Russell Simmons presents Def Poetry on HBO. Tamara was the 2005 and 2006 Los Angeles Grand slam champion. In Johanesburg,South Africa, she participated in the Grams Town National Theater Festival. Also a documentary, I Am Women, chronicled Tamara experince while in South Africa. She featured in the award winning documentary Sp!t. As the host and producer of a ladies night poetry showcase/open mic, she uses her poetry as away of blessing the lives of all who hear or see her words. Tamara is a real friend, sister, guidance counselor and a mentor. Her words inspire life encourage progression and stay with you when the leave the room or take out the CD. College shows include Everett, Olympia, in Washington UCLA , USC and CSULA. Tamara has also hosted and aired on local and national radio stations KPFK, KJLH, KKBT and KCRW. Rejoies in your blessings
